The haunts of October are creeping up on us, but before we get started in everyone’s favorite monster month, here’s one last RFS Picks for September.
musicformessier & Dan Caine – Timelessness
Fresh of the press, Timeslessness is some truly beautiful music from Hungary. As the work of musicformessier and Dan Caine, this album combines post rock, ambient music and light jazz tones and makes for a truly easy listen. Recommended for ambient fans who enjoy the use of guitar in their music.
Emma Ruth Rundle – Marked For Death
One part ambient, one part doom, one part experimental folk, Emma Ruth Rundle’s latest release may not be conventional ambient, but it’s well worth the listen for its pretty haze. In addition to her solo work, Rundle is a visual artist and also a member of Red Sparowes, Marriages, and Nocturnes.
Carbon Based Lifeforms – Interloper
Originally released in 2010, Carbon Based Lifeforms’ Interloper has been given a 24-bit facelift. Simply put, it sounds great. These Swedes have put together a synthesized album of bliss. For those who aren’t yet familiar, take the time to give them a chance.
